"Pizza Pie"

A few days ago Austin and I decided it would be fun to let Bailey help us make a pizza for supper. She was so excited, as you can see in one of the pictures above. She did a great job. She loves to cook. Every time we cook supper now she wants to pull a chair up so she can help.

HENDERSON GRANDKIDS

These are pictures of Bailey and all of her cousins on moms side of the family. A comment on an earlier post inspired me to post pictures of my nieces and nephew. It is hard to get a good picture of all the kids together. A few months ago we were all at mom and dads for Christmas and we got all the kiddos together for a photo session. We really ended up getting some good pictures. Some of you who haven't seen them in years can get a better look at them in these pictures.

This is Rebekah Lynn. She will be 12 in a few weeks. I say she is 11 going on 18. She is very mature for her age. She is a sweetheart, our first baby girl. She sings and plays the guitar, very well I might add. Isn't she beautiful!

This is Luke David. He is 8. He is "Amber's son". If you know my sister Amber at all you know she is the life of the party. He always has something funny to say. Luke is the only boy in the lot of 5 grandkids. He is better known to Bailey as "Spiderman Luke" because of his beloved spiderman costume.

Taylor Dawn is 10. We used to call her "little Tim" until her little sister came along, now we can see more of Amanda in her. Taylor is a little athlete like her parents. She loves basketball, softball, and cheer leading. She's pretty as a picture with her dark complexion and blond hair.

Alexis Grey is 4. She is better known as "Alex" or "Cita". We also call her "little Tim". If you know what her dad looks like you'll see why. Alex is the artist of the family. She has been drawing pictures since I can remember. From an early age you could recognize what she was drawing. She gets that talent from her mom and Poppa Henderson.

Bailey Dawn is 2. She is mommy's little princess. If you don't believe me just ask her. Bailey loves to sing, work puzzles, and buy new shoes. She loves to play with her cousins. She is a big talker and usually has something funny to say. She keeps us on our toes and laughing.

BIG GIRL BED!!

Austin is carefully reading the instructions before constructing Bailey's new "big girl bed".

A project this big requires a lot of concentration.

Bailey is proudly posing on her new bed. Now she wants me to take a picture every time she goes to bed. She got a little upset when she realized that her baby bed was coming apart.

She is showing us how she is going to lay her first night in the new bed.

Fast asleep after only one attempt to escape. Bailey followed me out of her room after I tucked her in. She told me that was not her bed, it was some other kid's bed. Nice try. She has done wonderful. That was the only time at night that she did not just get into her bed and go to sleep. She has slept all night until about 8:30 every morning. Yeah!!

Nap time has been a different story. She will lay down for about one minute and then come out and say she is awake now. The second day I found her asleep half way in her book shelf and half on the floor. This picture is day three. Here she is sleeping half in her bed and half hanging out. She plays for about an hour and finally konks out. I am hoping this will improve over time. If I had to choose though I would definately pick nap time to be our struggle.

Happy Birthday to Me!!

I can't believe we have a two year old daughter now. Happy Birthday to me, has been Bailey's favorite song for about a month now. She walks around the house singing it. We had our big two year old bash Saturday the 12th. Several of our friends and family were here to help us celebrate. Our neighbors were kind enough to let us use one of their big bounce pits so we had a blast. Nana threatened me if I put the picture of her sliding on the Internet, but I thought it was too cute not to share. Sorry Sheila. How many Grandma's do you know that would jump and slide with their grandkids. It was sweet. We also celebrated Bailey's birthday at my families house a couple of weeks before so all of my family got to celebrate as well. Bailey loves seeing all of her cousins. She talks about them often. Hope you enjoyed the birthday pictures.

Merry Christmas

We will be leaving in a few days to be with our family for Christmas. I just wanted to take a few moments to wish everyone a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year. May God bless you all as you celebrate Jesus this Christmas season. Love Austin, Alesha, and Bailey !!

"Double Trouble"

Recently we visited a friend of mine and her new twin baby boys Jackson and Jonathan. Bailey couldn't beleive her eyes when she realized that there were two babies. They are absolutly adorable. When I asked Bailey if she wanted mommy and daddy to bring home a baby like that she looked back and forth at both babies and then pointed to Jackson whom Mammie was holding and said she would take that one. Then she was disappointed when he didn't come home with us. I guess I should watch what I say.

Pumpkin Painting

Sunday night Kacey brought all of the kids pumpkins to paint. They had lots of fun putting their own creative spin on their pumpkin. Bailey got the award for most colorful. She thought it was great. The excitement wore off the next day and she threw it in the trash after her dad told her the paint might rub off on her. She doesn't much care for anything on her hands. Her buddies Jonathan, Aaron, and Caleb had beautiful pumpkins as well.

Go Razorbacks

These pictures are from the Middle Tennessee game a few weeks ago. It was our first game to go to this season and was Bailey's first Razorback game. She loves the band. When we left she said over and over, "I like a band". Now if she she's a football game on T.V. she asks about the band. We had a good time. Austin and I also went to the Auburn game. We decided we should have just came for the 4th quarter since that's when all the action happened. It was still fun. It nice sometimes to get out just the two of us. I think we are going to try to go to the South Carolina game next weekend and that will probably do it for us. Go Hogs!!!

Bailey's Photo Session

A few weeks ago we had Bailey's picture made. I ordered this picture as our package. When I went to pick them up they told me that the negative had been destroyed so I had to pick another pose. There was another one that I liked almost as much so it wasn't a big deal, but I thought that at least this way everyone could see this picture. I thought it was adorable. Hope you enjoy it.

Fun at the Beach

It has been way too long since I have posted in this blog. Our summer has been so busy. I have lots of things to post, but haven't taken the time to do it. This was our most recent trip. I thought I would begin there and work my way back. We spent the week last week in Gulf Shores, Alabama with Austin's family. We had a blast at the beach and playing games at the beach house. We rented a four bedroom beach house. The gang included Austin's mom and dad, sister Ericka, brother-in-law Nathan, niece Bethany, nephew Micah, Aunt Lee Ann, Uncle Bill, little cousins Madison, and William. The picture of the handsome young man is William. He's a sweetie. Of coarse, they all are but he is the one I happen to have a picture of. There is also a picture of Bailey and Papaw and Bailey at Fort Morgan. It was a hot week, but it felt great at the beach. Bailey enjoyed playing in the sand mostly. Towards the end of the week she got brave enough to play in the water. I hope to post several new blogs in the upcoming weeks to catch up on our summer activities. Until then God bless you all. Happy Fathers Day - Papaw

Happy Father's Day Papaw! We hope you have a wonderful day. Thanks for all you have done and still do. Austin always enjoys the time that he gets to spend with you golfing, fishing, or just catching up. You have been and continue to be a big influence in his life. We love you.
